Tom Letson Response
Sunday June 28, 2009
Thank you for the email. Representative Letson is a frequent visitor of the Warren Library in Trumbull, and understands how important libraries are to the citizens of Trumbull County. He also believes that libraries are an important asset to the community in these hard economic times and does not want to see any of their services taken away.
He is elated that the people of Trumbull County also feel this way and are going out of their way to contact their elected officials about this important matter. It is always important for citizens to participate in their government, and Representative Letson commends you for doing just that.
Allow this year’s budget is very hard to balance, Representative Letson feels that making cuts to the funding of Ohio’s public libraries is not the right way to balance our budget. Therefore he is working diligently with the HB 1 conference committee and the Governor to find a way to balance our budget while ensuring that there are no cuts to the funding of our libraries.
Please do not hesitate to contact Representative Letson with any further questions or concerns. Our office information is below.
Thank you again,
