Thank you for recently contacting my office in regards to your concerns about the proposed library cuts within the Governor’s budget. I appreciate it that you took the time to share your views with me on this issue as it will help me better serve and represent the district and community.

Unquestionably, Ohio’s libraries are a vital part of our community. Through the children learning programs and events sponsored by the libraries, to the community services they provide to numerous people in need, I understand that this funding reduction will dramatically affect our society.

This most recent budget has been the most difficult budget we have had to deal with in many decades. Nearly every state funded program is facing some form of cuts, some more severe than others. As this proposal moves to the House floor, I will do everything in my power as a State Legislator to minimize the impact of this proposal for all Ohioan’s and make sure that the concerns of my citizens are heard and represented
