I am in complete agreement with you. Ohio’s library system is the best in the country and it would be terribly wrong to put such an extreme share of cuts on them in this time of need. Our libraries are seeing a large increase because of the economy. People are hurting, and turning to the libraries for help. The Governor’s plan shows bad judgement and continued poor leadership for Ohio. The Republican caucus believes that the legislature made a commitment to libraries when the funding method was changed. It is our intention to do everything we can to honor it.
